Aka setting out the UK&#8217;s assets like junk in a car boot sale. This is because Phase 2 trade deal can be vetoed by any bitter EU member Spain Gibraltar and France &#8211; fishing, tariffs on automotive etc and making available anything else that any EU nation likes the look of. At least a clean break gives us a chance to negotiate from a position of strength and a transition period. So clean exit in fact is a far better option.
